About Richard Wilkie

Richard is an international corporate, capital markets, energy and transactional attorney and accountant with over 30 years of experience in private practice and as in-house general counsel and finance director. He practiced law for nearly 25 years with major law firms, Akin Gump and Vinson & Elkins, based in Houston, Moscow and Dallas, including serving as managing partner of Akin Gump’s Russia/CIS practice for nearly a decade. He started his career as a certified public accountant and auditor for PwC, and also served as chief financial officer and general counsel for an oil services company in Oklahoma and Houston.

He has led numerous US and international initial public offerings, and other equity and corporate bond offerings for issuers and underwriters. He has represented major international integrated energy companies and oil and gas service companies in their corporate, merger and acquisition, and joint venture transactions.

Represented Exxon Mobil, Statoil, Baker Hughes, LUKOIL, Alfa Bank, Baring Vostok, Hillwood Energy (Ross Perot Jr.), Walmart, among others, in major acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, IPOs, corporate financings, and corporate structuring and formation transactions.
